About
Ronald L Wright
April 23, 1957 -
Ron was raised as an only child by his newly divorced mom and had free reign, and was allowed to let his creativity and imagination run wild. He became adept at drawing, painting, singing, and writing. In high school he sculpted masks, adopted film-making and video recording. This was the 1970's. He graduated in 1975, briefly went to Miami University of Ohio, before meeting a girl who would lead him across the country to western Washington State. He took a job with a utility company, Pacific Northwest Bell Telephone, and worked there for 35 years. During this time, he finally married the woman of his dreams, Susan, who inspired him to chase his dreams.
He retired due to disability from Multiple Sclerosis, yet even though he lost his mobility and the ability to create, his mind often fuzzy, but sometimes is able to imagine lucidly. In 2010, he visited one of his sons in Japan and wrote a short memoir about it, knowing that memories often fade with MS. His book is available on Kindle from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Japan-Once-Lifetime-Ron-Wright-ebook/dp/B004VYRV26/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1519438323&sr=8-10&keywords=japan+once
He has traveled to Japan and China, and is very busy taking his youngest son, who has Down Syndrome to Special Olympics and he records the practices and events in 4k to post on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClmT9gH6YFKEwQcQa8MoVfA?disable_polymer=true
At age 59, he discovered his father's family and has been spending time visiting them annually.
